Module 1 – Sustainability explores the meaning and implications for education of a concept that has now become a buzzword. We first define “sustainability”, and then focus on its impact in education. We explore how sustainability is integrated into diverse educational systems around the world, and then hone in on our preferred approach for integrating sustainability into the school environment: Learning for Sustainable Development.
